How to Reset Annke Password: How to Unlock Your DVR/NVR Account

Resetting an Annke password is a process that closely mirrors Hikvision systems because they share similar underlying technology. In 2026, the most effective methods involve using a Reserved Email, a QR Code via the mobile app, or the SADP Tool for a deeper technical reset.

Method 1: The Reserved Email (Self-Service)

If you linked an email address during your initial setup, this is the quickest way to get back into your system without outside help.

  1. Open the Login Interface: On your monitor, click "Forgot Password" or "Forgot My Pattern."1

  2. Verify by Reserved Email: Ensure the email address shown on the screen is yours.2

  3. Use the App: Open the Annke Vision app on your smartphone.3

    • Go to More > Reset Device Password.

  4. Scan the QR Code: Use your phone to scan the QR code displayed on the monitor.4

  5. Enter the Code: Annke will send a verification code to your email.5 Type that code into the field on your monitor and click OK to set a new password.

Method 2: The SADP Tool (Professional XML Export)

If you didn't set up a recovery email, you will need to use a Windows or Mac computer.6 This method requires a file exchange with Annke Support.

  1. Download SADP: Install the SADP Tool (Search Active Device Protocol) from the Annke website.7

  2. Connect: Ensure your computer is on the same network (plugged into the same router) as your NVR/DVR.8

  3. Export XML: * Select your device in SADP and click "Forgot Password."9

    • Click "Export" to save an XML file to your computer.10

  4. Send to Support: Email this XML file to support@annke.com.11 Include a photo of the sticker on the bottom of your device for verification.12

  5. Import the Key: Do not turn off your NVR or close SADP.13 Annke will send back a "Key File" (valid for 24–48 hours). Select "Import File" in SADP, upload their file, and create your new password.14

Method 3: Reset via Serial Number (Monitor Method)

For some older or specific firmware versions, you can generate a reset code based on the system date.

  1. On the login screen, double-click the bottom-left corner of the login window.

  2. A window will pop up showing your Serial Number and the System Date.

  3. Send a clear photo of this screen to Annke support. They will use the date and serial number to generate a one-time "Secure Code" (Master Password).

Pro-Tips for Annke Systems

  • Physical Camera Reset: If you are locked out of a standalone Annke POE Camera, look for a physical reset button near the SD card slot.15 Hold it for 30 seconds while plugging the camera into power to return it to its "Inactive" state.

  • The 24-Hour Rule: Most reset files and security codes provided by support are only valid for 24 hours.16 If you wait too long, you will have to export a new XML file and start over.

  • Avoid Rebooting: Once you export an XML file for support, do not reboot your NVR.17 Rebooting changes the internal security key, making the file you just sent invalid.
