Crucial Setup Step: Activating the Audio Stream

A common stumbling block for DIY installers is plugging in a brand-new built-in microphone camera only to find the recorded files are completely silent.

By default, Hikvision factory software disables audio recording to comply with various regional privacy regulations. To hear anything, you must manually change the internal stream configuration:

1.Log into the Camera Interface:Admin Panel access.

Open your web browser, type in the local IP address of your camera or NVR hub, and log in using your administrator credentials.

2.Navigate to Configuration:Video & Audio settings.
