  2. Overexposure/Glare: License plates are highly reflective. At night, a car's headlights or the camera's own infrared (IR) light cause the plate to be completely blown out, appearing as a pure white, unreadable rectangle.


  3. Low Pixel Density: Standard wide-angle lenses capture a large area, meaning the plate itself only takes up a handful of pixels, making small text illegible. Experts recommend a minimum of 40 pixels per foot (PPF) on the plate area for reliable reading.
